The Opportunity
A strong accounting function depends on accuracy, accountability and people who can be trusted to manage complex financial processes. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a growing care services organisation in Western Australia, with responsibility for NDIS, brokerage and Support at Home accounts receivable.
This position is suited to an accounting professional who can confidently manage detailed reconciliations, funding claims, invoicing, financial reporting and month-end processes while working closely with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage NDIS and brokerage receivables from quoting and service agreements through to invoicing, claiming and payment collection
- Monitor funding claims and resolve rejected, delayed or underpaid transactions
- Allocate payments and reconcile client accounts, remittances and funding receipts
- Investigate outstanding balances and undertake appropriate debt follow-up
- Prepare journals and adjustments arising from account reconciliations
- Support Support at Home receivables activities, including claiming, payment allocation and client budget reconciliations
- Handle complex client account and funding enquiries
- Work with operational teams to verify services, funding arrangements, agreements and invoices
- Complete bank, balance sheet, general ledger and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other accounting journals
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Contribute to the preparation of financial and management reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Assist with BAS, GST, payroll tax and other compliance obligations
- Maintain reliable accounting records and strong internal financial controls
- Identify opportunities to improve receivables, reporting and accounting systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, journals and month-end procedures
- Strong practical experience across accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and payment allocation
- Understanding of Australian accounting principles and financial processes
- Advanced Excel capability and experience working with accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet financial deadlines
- NDIS, aged care, Support at Home or government-funded receivables experience is highly regarded
- Experience with quotes, service agreements and funding schedules is highly regarded
- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and Nurses Award is advantageous
- Payroll experience and familiarity with Employment Hero are advantageous
- CPA or CA qualification, or progress toward qualification, is advantageous
- Ability to satisfy applicable Australian employment and sponsorship requirements
