Air-Conditioning Refrigeration Mechanic

A well-established commercial services business in Queensland is seeking HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical tradespeople to join its experienced technical team. This is an opportunity to have your trade background assessed against a genuine Australian workplace environment and put your practical skills to work across commercial and industrial projects.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of technical systems, from commercial air conditioning and refrigeration through to coolrooms, chilled water systems, specialist ventilation and commercial kitchen infrastructure.

• Install, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults
• Service commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
• Work on coolrooms, freezer rooms and commercial refrigeration systems
• Install and maintain specialist ventilation systems
• Carry out commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation works
• Service and maintain commercial catering equipment
• Assist with chilled water and larger-scale commercial HVAC systems
• Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Carry out equipment testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis
• Read and work from technical documentation and equipment specifications
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements
• Deliver professional workmanship across commercial, industrial and government projects
• Work alongside experienced technicians to strengthen technical knowledge and industry capability

• Relevant qualification or recognised trade experience in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning or Electrical
• Demonstrated practical experience in commercial or industrial environments
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Experience servicing, installing or maintaining HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Ability to work safely and professionally on active commercial worksites
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to quality workmanship and reliable service
• Willingness to undertake skills development and further technical training
• Transferable experience from mechanical, maintenance, construction or manufacturing industries may be considered
• Ability to provide evidence of qualifications and relevant employment experience for verification
• Ability to satisfy applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
