Architectural Draftsperson
Job Description
The Opportunity
Join a well-established Australian residential construction company with over 15 years of industry experience delivering high-quality custom homes, duplexes, townhouses, and residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to work on diverse building projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The successful candidate will prepare detailed architectural drawings, assist with project documentation, and work closely with design and construction professionals to deliver projects that meet Australian building
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
- Convert design concepts into accurate technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software
- Assist with Development Application (DA) and Construction Documentation (CD) preparation
- Ensure drawings comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams throughout project delivery
- Revise and update drawings in response to design changes and project requirements
- Conduct site measurements where required and incorporate findings into project documentation
- Maintain drawing registers and document control throughout each project
- Support timely project delivery while maintaining high drafting standards
- Identify and resolve drafting and design issues efficiently
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Previous experience as an Architectural Draftsperson is essential
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent drafting software
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and construction practices, or willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet Australian visa, skills assessment, and English language requirements where applicable
