Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Hospitality Managers to join a leading hospitality group with multiple opportunities available across New Zealand. These full-time positions are available in Auckland, Southland, Canterbury, and Queenstown regions.
The successful candidates will have strong front-of-house management experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead venue operations effectively. Sponsorship opportunities are available for suitable overseas candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily front-of-house and venue operations to ensure smooth service delivery
- Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, Gambling Act 2003, and workplace safety requirements
- Maintain compliance with liquor licensing requirements and venue policies
- Train and guide staff on responsible service practices and customer management
- Manage liquor inventory, purchasing, stock control, and reporting procedures
- Prepare and manage efficient staff rosters including bar and service operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation standards across the venue
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating effectively
- Monitor venue records, incident reports, and daily operational documentation
- Develop and support promotional activities to increase sales and customer engagement
- Ensure all financial procedures, cash handling, and security processes are followed
- Support the management team to achieve business goals and profitability
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
- Complete additional operational duties as required by venue management
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hospitality or front-of-house management experience
- Relevant hospitality qualification or proven industry experience
- Must hold a Duty Manager Certificate or be eligible to obtain one
- Strong background in hospitality operations and customer service
- Experience managing teams within a busy venue environment
- Experience with TAB and gaming/pokie machines is highly desirable
- Knowledge of liquor licensing regulations and responsible service practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, late nights, and public holidays
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work full-time hours (30–40 hours per week)
