The Opportunity
We are connecting experienced and trade-qualified Boilermakers with an established fabrication opportunity in Queensland. This role is suited to professionals whose qualifications, practical experience and technical capabilities can be clearly verified and matched to a long-term workshop position.
You’ll work on steel fabrication projects within a structured workshop environment, supported by an experienced team and consistent working arrangements. The position offers permanent full-time employment, attractive rates of $60+ per hour depending on experience, no FIFO and no night shifts.
Relocation support and sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates who meet the required criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete boilermaking and steel fabrication tasks to project specifications
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical documentation
- Measure, mark, cut and prepare steel components
- Perform welding, fitting, assembly and fabrication work
- Use workshop machinery, tools and equipment safely
- Check fabricated components for accuracy and quality
- Work closely with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across all assigned tasks
- Follow workplace safety procedures and established fabrication standards
- Maintain an organised and productive workshop environment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding, Metal Fabrication or a related discipline
- Demonstrated workshop fabrication experience
- Strong practical welding and fabrication capability
- Ability to interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Relevant qualifications and employment experience that can be verified
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
- Ability to work effectively within an established team
