The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bricklayer to join a growing construction team in Western Australia. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects, delivering high-quality brickwork and masonry solutions. The successful candidate will work alongside skilled tradespeople in a safety-focused environment that values quality workmanship, teamwork and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks and stone using mortar to construct and repair structures
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Measure, mark and align materials to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Check completed work using levels, plumb lines and measuring equipment
- Construct brickwork to required building standards and project specifications
- Finish, clean and point joints to achieve durable and high-quality finishes
- Prepare work areas and assist with material handling as required
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Keep work sites clean, organised and compliant with safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to achieve project deadlines
- Deliver quality workmanship while maintaining productivity and attention to detail
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer on residential, commercial or industrial construction projects
- Relevant trade qualification or completed bricklaying apprenticeship
- Strong knowledge of bricklaying methods, mortar preparation and bonding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using bricklaying hand tools and power tools safely
- Understanding of Australian building standards and workplace health and safety practices
- Current driver's licence
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience in decorative brickwork, custom construction or heritage restoration is advantageous
- Current White Card and First Aid certification are advantageous
