The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Carpenter / Direct Stick Flooring Installer to join a growing construction company in New South Wales, Australia. This full-time position offers long-term employment across a variety of residential and commercial projects with opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general carpentry work on residential and commercial projects
  • Install direct stick engineered timber flooring to a high standard
  • Measure, cut and fit timber and other building materials accurately
  • Interpret plans, specifications and project requirements
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Ensure flooring installations are completed safely and efficiently
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the project team
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
  • Assist with project planning and task coordination where required
  • Complete projects within scheduled timeframes
  • Provide professional service and maintain quality standards on every project

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience preferred
  • Experience installing direct stick engineered timber flooring is highly regarded
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work
  • Current driver's licence
  • Ability to work across residential and commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
