The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Carpenter / Direct Stick Flooring Installer to join a growing construction company in New South Wales, Australia. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general carpentry work on residential and commercial projects
- Install direct stick engineered timber flooring to a high standard
- Measure, cut and fit timber and other building materials accurately
- Interpret plans, specifications and project requirements
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Ensure flooring installations are completed safely and efficiently
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
- Work independently and collaboratively with the project team
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with project planning and task coordination where required
- Complete projects within scheduled timeframes
- Provide professional service and maintain quality standards on every project
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience preferred
- Experience installing direct stick engineered timber flooring is highly regarded
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work across residential and commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
