The Opportunity
We are seeking a proven Chef de Partie to join a professional and fast-paced hospitality team in Western Australia. This opportunity is suited to chefs who can demonstrate their skills, experience and ability to take ownership of a kitchen section in a quality-driven environment.
For internationally experienced chefs, this role offers the opportunity to have your professional background assessed against a genuine Australian hospitality position. Candidates who meet the required experience and eligibility criteria may be considered for visa sponsorship.
The role is particularly suited to chefs with a strong Italian culinary background, including fresh pasta, seafood and seasonal produce, who are ready to take the next step in their Australian career.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of an allocated kitchen section
- Prepare and cook fresh pasta, seafood and seasonal produce to a consistently high standard
- Deliver quality dishes during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
- Maintain excellent standards of food preparation, presentation and portion control
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure the section is fully prepared for service
- Work closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain an efficient service
- Assist with guiding and supporting junior kitchen team members
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Follow established recipes, preparation methods and kitchen procedures
- Manage workload effectively in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Contribute positively to kitchen operations and team performance
- Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable role
- Strong experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen
- Practical knowledge of Italian cuisine and modern culinary techniques
- Proven ability to prepare fresh pasta, seafood and produce-led seasonal dishes
- Experience independently managing a kitchen section during service
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade experience
- Strong communication, teamwork and kitchen leadership abilities
- Ability to maintain consistent standards while working under pressure
- Professional attitude with a strong focus on quality and reliability
- Availability to work nights and weekends
