We are connecting experienced hospitality professionals with a Japanese cuisine kitchen seeking a dependable chef who can contribute positively to evening service.

• Prepare and cook Japanese cuisine to the required quality and presentation standards
• Complete daily food preparation and mise en place efficiently
• Maintain consistency in flavour, quality, portion control and presentation
• Support smooth kitchen operations throughout evening service
• Work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen workspace
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and general kitchen duties
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with other kitchen team members
• Follow instructions and contribute to an efficient team environment
• Take responsibility for maintaining professional kitchen standards
• Demonstrate reliability and consistency across scheduled shifts

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Japanese cuisine or professional kitchen experience
• Demonstrated hands-on commercial kitchen experience
• Genuine practical knowledge of Japanese cuisine and kitchen operations
• Ability to remain composed and productive during busy service
• Strong work ethic and dependable approach to work
• Professional attitude and respectful communication style
• Positive approach to teamwork and collaboration
• Good personal discipline and attention to kitchen standards
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow workplace training
• Long-term interest in developing within the hospitality industry
• Must have valid Australian work rights
