Put your sheet-metal and CNC skills to work in a role where verified experience and technical capability matter. We are seeking a skilled Press Shop Team Member for a permanent night-shift opportunity with a well-established manufacturing operation in New Zealand.
This role is suited to candidates who can demonstrate genuine hands-on experience with Press Brake and/or Turret machinery and are confident working with modern CNC equipment. Your practical skills, work history and professional background can be assessed as part of the recruitment process, helping ensure candidates are matched to a role that genuinely fits their experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Press Brake and/or Turret CNC machinery safely and efficiently
- Set up machinery according to production requirements and specifications
- Form, bend and straighten sheet-metal components accurately
- Interpret work orders, technical drawings and production instructions
- Check finished components for quality, accuracy and consistency
- Adjust machine settings where required to maintain production standards
- Meet agreed production quantities and delivery timelines
- Identify and report quality or machine-related issues
- Maintain efficient machine operation and minimise production downtime
- Follow established safety, quality and manufacturing procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised Press Shop work area
- Work collaboratively with production and technical team members
- Complete assigned work to a consistently high standard
- Work the required Monday to Friday night-shift schedule
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Press Brake and/or Turret machinery
- Previous sheet-metal manufacturing or fabrication experience
- Practical experience operating or setting up CNC machinery
- Ability to accurately follow technical drawings and work instructions
- Understanding of sheet-metal forming, bending and fabrication processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to meet production targets without compromising safety
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a production team
- Willingness to work permanent night shifts
- Verifiable employment history and relevant technical experience
