The Opportunity
Join a well-established hospitality venue in Western Australia that is known for delivering high-quality Mediterranean-inspired dining experiences. This full-time Cook position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional kitchen preparing fresh seasonal dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to support daily operations, manage stock, minimise waste, and contribute to an exceptional customer dining experience. This role offers visa sponsorship for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Mediterranean and Western European dishes
- Assist with daily menu planning and food preparation requirements
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies
- Minimise food waste and support effective cost control practices
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards are followed
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while meeting production deadlines
- Collaborate effectively with chefs and other kitchen team members
- Follow recipes, cooking procedures, and kitchen instructions accurately
- Support smooth day-to-day back-of-house operations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 12 months of experience as a Cook or in a similar role
- Experience preparing Mediterranean and Western European cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work well within a team
- Good communication skills with proficient English
- Ability to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Hospitality qualification or diploma is advantageous but not essential
