Cook

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Cook to join a well-established hospitality business in Queensland, Australia. This role is ideal for a motivated culinary professional who is passionate about preparing quality meals and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and workplace safety.

• Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with recipes and quality standards
• Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality before use
• Assist with menu planning and daily specials
• Portion and present food consistently to required standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Monitor cooking equipment and ensure correct operating temperatures throughout food preparation
• Follow food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and workplace health and safety procedures
• Monitor stock levels, store food correctly, and assist with inventory control and ordering
• Work effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Minimise food waste while maintaining cost-effective kitchen operations
• Support a clean, organised, and productive kitchen environment

• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or an equivalent qualification is preferred
• Minimum one year of full-time experience as a Cook
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service
