Electrical Estimator & Industrial Electrician

A growing electrical engineering and contracting business is expanding its operations and seeking skilled professionals to join its team in Victoria.

Opportunities are available for Electrical Estimators and Industrial Electricians who want to work on diverse projects spanning commercial, industrial, infrastructure and electrical engineering environments.

Electrical Estimator

• Develop accurate electrical cost estimates for projects and tenders
• Prepare competitive tender submissions based on project requirements
• Analyse electrical drawings, specifications, scopes and project documentation
• Obtain material and subcontractor pricing from relevant suppliers
• Evaluate project costs, risks and commercial opportunities
• Assist with budgeting, cost planning and value engineering
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Assist with the transition of successful tenders into project delivery
• Maintain organised and accurate estimating records

Industrial Electrician

• Install, wire and assemble switchboards and electrical control panels
• Carry out electrical installations across workshop and client-site environments
• Test, commission and verify electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions
• Perform preventative maintenance and electrical repairs
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Work with industrial electrical equipment and control systems
• Assist with commissioning and system start-up activities
• Ensure installations meet Australian Standards and relevant safety requirements
• Maintain safe work practices across all workshop and site activities
• Work effectively with project teams, engineers and other trades

Electrical Estimator

• Demonstrated experience in electrical estimating or a related electrical project environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, systems and equipment
• Ability to accurately interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Understanding of project costing, pricing and tender preparation
• Experience with electrical estimating software is advantageous
• Electrical trade qualification or industry background is highly regarded
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines

Industrial Electrician

• Relevant electrical trade qualification
• Current Australian Electrical Licence or eligibility to obtain the required Australian licensing
• Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical work
• Experience with switchboards, control panels and industrial installations
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Current driver's licence
• Experience with PLCs, MCCs, automation or control systems is highly regarded
• Previous electrical commissioning experience is advantageous
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
