The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Electrician or Lift Installation Technician to join a growing Australian company specialising in residential lift systems. This permanent full-time position offers the opportunity to work on the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of residential lift equipment while developing specialist skills in a high-demand industry.
Suitable overseas-qualified electricians are encouraged to apply, with visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and repair residential lift systems
- Wire, test and commission lift systems and control panels
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Install and configure VSD motor controls and electrical components
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
- Provide professional service while working at customer sites
- Work independently and collaboratively within the installation team
- Assist with training and supporting team members when required
- Travel to various worksites across New South Wales as required
- Maintain accurate service and installation documentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Electrician or overseas trade-qualified Electrician
- Relevant electrical installation and maintenance experience
- Current Australian electrical licence or ability to meet NSW licensing requirements
- Experience with lift systems, control panels, VSD motors or similar industrial electrical equipment is highly regarded
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Mechanically minded with excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, motivated and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel within New South Wales when required
