Build your next career move around proven technical capability, not simply visa eligibility. We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with genuine hands-on expertise in Access/EWP equipment to join a professional equipment servicing team in New Zealand.
This role is ideal for a technician whose qualifications, practical experience and mechanical knowledge can be clearly demonstrated and verified. You will work across workshop and customer-site environments, diagnosing faults, completing repairs and keeping a diverse range of access equipment operating safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and equipment faults across a range of Access/EWP machinery
- Service, repair and maintain scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers and related equipment
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Carry out field repairs at customer locations across the region
- Complete workshop-based repairs and maintenance as required
- Use technical knowledge to identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Provide practical technical support to customers and team members
- Maintain accurate service documentation and equipment records
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when working with heavy machinery
- Manage field-based service activities efficiently and professionally
- Use company tools, equipment and service resources responsibly
- Continue developing product knowledge across different equipment types
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical Engineering, Machinery or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machinery
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience specifically with Access/EWP equipment
- Demonstrated experience working with diesel, petrol and other machinery types
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Ability to demonstrate and verify previous Access/EWP repair and maintenance experience
- Full and valid driver's licence
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service capability
- Ability to work independently while managing field service responsibilities
- Commitment to safe working practices
