The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Machinist to join a busy engineering workshop in Western Australia. Working within a professional and safety-focused team, you will carry out mechanical fitting, machining, maintenance, and repair work across a range of industrial equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical fitting and machining work to a high standard
  • Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of mechanical equipment
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Inspect equipment and identify faults or wear
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines
  • Comply with workplace health and safety procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
  • Maintain accurate job documentation where required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter or Machinist trade qualification
  • Proven experience in a mechanical fitting or machining environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Confined Space Entry certification
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card)
  • Forklift Licence is advantageous
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
