Fitter Welders Feilding Manawatu

• Fabricate, repair, and assemble heavy transport equipment
• Perform high-quality MIG welding on structural steel components
• Carry out production welding and repair welding tasks
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
• Operate workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment safely
• Inspect completed work to ensure high quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with production and workshop teams
• Complete assigned work within required timeframes

• Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience
• Experience in heavy fabrication or heavy vehicle welding preferred
• Multi-position welding experience is an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Competent in using fabrication workshop tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable, motivated, and able to meet production deadlines
