Formwork Carpenter
Job Description
The Opportunity
A construction opportunity is available in Western Australia for an experienced Formwork Carpenter who can demonstrate genuine trade capability, reliability and a strong record of working safely on construction sites.
This role is suited to candidates whose practical experience and professional background can be clearly verified and who are ready to contribute across a variety of construction projects. You will work across different sites and project environments, using your carpentry skills to deliver quality formwork and general construction work.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete formwork carpentry work across residential, commercial or other construction projects
- Construct, install and dismantle formwork structures according to project requirements
- Measure, mark, cut and assemble materials accurately
- Read and work from construction plans, drawings and specifications
- Perform general carpentry and associated construction tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely
- Check completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with project requirements
- Work efficiently across different construction sites and project environments
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and site instructions
- Work independently when required while supporting the wider construction team
- Travel between project sites when required
- Demonstrate consistent workmanship, reliability and professional conduct
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter or experienced All-Round Carpenter
- Relevant formal carpentry qualification or recognised trade certification preferred
- Demonstrated practical experience in formwork and general construction
- Ability to provide evidence of genuine trade experience and professional background
- Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
- Current driver's licence preferred
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between work sites
- Own hand and power tools suitable for carpentry work
- Ability to work independently and follow construction plans and site instructions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking approach
- Willingness to undertake required pre-employment checks, including medical assessment where applicable
- Willingness to work in regional areas where required
