Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a restaurant, café, and retail environment
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Prepare and serve coffee, hot beverages, and other drinks
- Assist with food, beverage, and retail product service
- Maintain presentation and cleanliness of front-of-house areas
- Prepare service areas before opening and complete closing procedures
- Restock supplies and ensure products are displayed appropriately
- Manage customer enquiries, bookings, and reservations
- Assist with staff rostering and daily operational coordination
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining service standards
- Follow workplace health, safety, and hygiene procedures
- Collaborate with the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality, café, restaurant, or retail operations, or an equivalent hospitality qualification
- Experience taking customer orders and processing payments
- Barista experience and the ability to prepare quality hot beverages
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Confident using POS systems, booking systems, and other digital platforms
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Professional attitude with excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility when required
- Eligible for New Zealand employer-sponsored employment where applicable
