Frontline Crew

An exciting opportunity is available for a Front of House / Customer Service Assistant to join a busy and growing hospitality business in the Otago region of New Zealand. This role is ideal for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with people and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Sponsorship is available for suitable international applicants through an accredited employer.

• Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist customers with using digital ordering tablets
• Provide excellent customer service and build positive customer relationships
• Promote menu items and support sales opportunities
• Operate the POS cash register accurately and efficiently
• Process customer payments and transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the front-of-house area
• Follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures
• Work collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or food service is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work weekends, including at least one weekend day each week
• Japanese language skills are advantageous but not essential
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge is preferred
• Must be committed to maintaining high standards of customer service and workplace cleanliness
• Eligible to meet New Zealand employment and visa requirements
