We are seeking an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress for a French-inspired bistro in Western Australia. This opportunity is suited to a hospitality professional who can demonstrate a proven background in restaurant service, confident wine knowledge and the ability to maintain high standards while working as part of a busy team.

The focus is not simply on taking orders and serving tables. The successful candidate will help shape the complete guest experience — from welcoming customers and understanding their preferences to delivering knowledgeable food and wine service with confidence.

• Lead front-of-house service and set a high standard for the wider service team
• Welcome guests and create a professional, relaxed and engaging dining experience
• Deliver attentive table service throughout the guest journey
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of food, wine, coffee and beverage offerings
• Provide confident recommendations based on guest preferences
• Conduct professional wine presentation and service
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
• Monitor service quality and respond promptly to guest requirements
• Maintain calm and organised service during busy periods
• Assist with training and supporting other front-of-house staff
• Ensure restaurant presentation and service areas remain to a high standard
• Handle customer concerns professionally and find appropriate solutions
• Follow responsible alcohol service procedures
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required
• Represent the venue with professionalism, reliability and a genuine hospitality mindset

• Minimum 3 years of professional restaurant experience
• Fine dining or high-quality dining experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in a senior waiter or similar front-of-house position
• Strong and verifiable knowledge of restaurant service
• Good understanding of wine and wine service
• Genuine passion for food, wine and coffee
• Excellent spoken English and confident communication skills
• Valid RSA or Manager's Liquor Licence
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead by example and support a hospitality team
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced restaurant
• Professional attitude with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, well-presented and committed to high service standards
• Willingness to work weekends and evening shifts
• Relevant experience and qualifications must be supported by appropriate documentation where required
