Head Chef

Step into a senior culinary leadership opportunity with a major new hospitality venue launching in New South Wales.

This role is suited to an experienced Head Chef who can bring proven leadership, commercial kitchen expertise and the confidence to build a high-performing team from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the menu, establish kitchen systems and set the standard for food quality and service from opening day.

We are seeking a professionally qualified and experienced candidate who can demonstrate a strong employment history and the capability to lead a team of 20+ staff in a busy hospitality environment.

• Lead and manage a large kitchen team
• Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff
• Establish kitchen systems and operational procedures
• Oversee high-volume food preparation and service
• Create commercially successful modern pub menus
• Maintain consistent food quality and presentation
• Manage food, labour and operational costs
• Oversee purchasing, stock control and supplier relationships
• Maintain food safety, HACCP and WHS compliance
• Monitor kitchen performance and service standards
• Work collaboratively with venue management
• Build a positive and accountable kitchen culture
• Support a successful venue opening and ongoing operation

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader
• 2–3 years’ experience in a high-volume hospitality environment
• Experience managing a kitchen team of 20+ staff
• Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
• Strong menu development and food-costing knowledge
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management ability
• Strong financial and operational awareness
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong food safety and HACCP knowledge
• Professional employment history and verifiable experience
• Ability to relocate to regional New South Wales
