Heavy Duty Mechanics

We are seeking experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanics to join a well-established transport and heavy vehicle maintenance business in Western Australia. This full-time opportunity is ideal for skilled professionals with strong experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers in a fast-paced workshop environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of prime movers and trailers while working as part of a professional and supportive team.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, braking, and suspension faults
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
• Inspect and repair trailer components to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
• Conduct fault finding using appropriate diagnostic equipment
• Replace and repair worn or damaged mechanical parts
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace procedures
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet workshop deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment

• Proven experience as a Truck and Trailer Mechanic
• Demonstrated experience working on Volvo and Mack prime movers is essential
• Strong knowledge of trailer maintenance, including braking systems, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, motivated, and committed to workplace safety
• Relevant heavy vehicle mechanical qualification or equivalent trade experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to relocate to Western Australia
