Maintenance Handyman

Join a well-established food manufacturing company in New Zealand as a Maintenance Handyman. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and reliable maintenance professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You will help maintain buildings, production facilities, and surrounding grounds while supporting the engineering team to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.

• General building and facility maintenance
• Carry out repairs to offices, production areas, and site facilities
• Painting, plastering, and general decorating
• Basic carpentry work and installation of shelving and fixtures
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and general handyman tasks
• Landscaping, gardening, and external grounds maintenance
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine site inspections
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests across the facility
• Assist with engineering and maintenance improvement projects
• Coordinate external contractors when required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

• Previous experience in building, property, or facilities maintenance
• Good all-round handyman and repair skills
• Experience with painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and solve maintenance issues efficiently
• Capable of working independently and managing daily priorities
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current driver's licence preferred
• Trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience is advantageous
