Mechanic

A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Motor Mechanic to join an established automotive team in the Northern Territory. This role is suited to a qualified automotive professional whose practical experience, technical capability and employment history can be clearly verified.

The focus is on finding a reliable mechanic who can independently diagnose vehicle faults, complete quality repairs and contribute positively to a professional workshop environment. Candidates with genuine trade experience and the required credentials are encouraged to apply.

• Carry out accurate mechanical inspections and fault diagnosis across a range of vehicles
• Assess vehicle condition and identify required repairs or maintenance
• Perform servicing, repairs and component replacements to professional standards
• Work on engines, transmissions, suspension systems and other mechanical components
• Use automotive diagnostic equipment, tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively
• Identify mechanical issues efficiently and recommend appropriate repair solutions
• Complete assigned work with strong attention to quality, safety and accuracy
• Ensure repaired vehicles are operating correctly before completion
• Support apprentice and junior technicians by sharing practical knowledge and technical guidance
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional workshop environment
• Work cooperatively with other members of the automotive team
• Follow workplace procedures, safety requirements and quality standards

• Relevant Australian trade qualification in Motor Mechanics or an equivalent recognised qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant practical motor mechanic experience preferred
• Demonstrable hands-on automotive repair and diagnostic experience
• Previous dealership or professional workshop experience advantageous
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Good attention to detail and commitment to reliable workmanship
• Current driver's licence with the ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks responsibly
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Professional attitude with good communication skills
• Willingness to relocate and work in the Northern Territory
