Mechanic

• General servicing and maintenance of light vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Perform hybrid vehicle servicing and repairs
• Diagnose and repair hybrid battery and electrical system faults
• Carry out engine and gearbox removal and installation
• Replace timing belts and timing chains
• Repair and maintain suspension and braking systems
• Complete fleet vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and workplace safety standards
• Assist team members when required
• Support and mentor apprentices where necessary
• Participate in practical skills assessments as part of the recruitment process

• Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of one year of workshop experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
• Demonstrated experience working on hybrid vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to diagnose and repair hybrid systems
• Current full driver's licence
• Current Police Check
• Physically fit and capable of workshop duties
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a professional attitude
• Own tools will be an advantage
• Willingness to complete a practical skills assessment
