The Opportunity
Looking for a genuine opportunity with a strong engineering and maintenance environment? A verified full-time Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker Welder) position is available in Western Australia for an experienced tradesperson seeking long-term career opportunities.
This hands-on role combines workshop fabrication, site maintenance, repairs and breakdown support across fixed and mobile plant equipment. You will be part of a team where practical skills, reliability and safe work practices are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Measure and mark materials accurately before fabrication
- Cut, bend, shape and prepare metal components
- Complete welding and fabrication work to required standards
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on plant and equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns when required
- Perform site-based fabrication and maintenance activities
- Complete workshop-based fabrication and assembly work
- Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy
- Operate fabrication machinery and tools safely
- Carry out routine checks and maintenance of workshop equipment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
- Work collaboratively with tradespeople and site personnel
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III or equivalent
- At least 3 years of full-time Metal Fabrication experience
- Relevant Boilermaking and Welding experience
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications
- National Police Certificate
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Current Construction White Card
- Working at Heights certification less than 2 years old
- Confined Space certification less than 2 years old
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Ability to work effectively within a team
