The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced European Vehicle Technician to join a modern, well-equipped automotive workshop in Victoria, Australia. This full-time role is ideal for a qualified mechanic with extensive experience working on European passenger vehicles, particularly Mercedes-Benz.
The workshop specialises in servicing and repairing late-model European vehicles using the latest manufacturer diagnostic systems, specialist tools, and advanced workshop equipment. Flexible roster options are available, including a 4-day work week for the right candidate, offering an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on European passenger vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Carry out advanced diagnostics using Mercedes-Benz and other European vehicle systems
- Use manufacturer repair information and technical documentation
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Inspect vehicles and identify required maintenance and repair work
- Perform light to medium mechanical repairs and component replacements
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Ensure all work meets workshop quality and safety standards
- Work independently while supporting the workshop team when required
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a clean, organised work environment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Motor Mechanic or equivalent recognised trade qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on European passenger vehicles
- Strong experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience using manufacturer diagnostic software and multiple scan tools
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on modern European vehicles
- Experience with late-model European vehicle servicing and repairs
- Own trade tools
- Current driver's licence (manual driving ability preferred)
- Good English communication and computer literacy skills
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused work ethic
