A reputable commercial interiors and fit-out company in Victoria is seeking a skilled Painting Trades Worker to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial construction, hospitality, retail, and interior fit-out projects, delivering high-quality painting and finishing solutions.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary package of AUD $80,000 per annum + superannuation and 482 visa sponsorship available for the right candidate. The role provides the opportunity to work on diverse projects while building a long-term career with an established Australian business.

• Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, sealing, and repairing imperfections before painting
• Removing old paint, wallpaper, and preparing areas for new finishes
• Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
• Mixing and preparing paints to achieve required colours and finishes
• Applying decorative finishes, textured coatings, epoxy coatings, and other specialty finishes as required
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and colour schedules
• Ensuring completed painting works meet quality standards and project requirements
• Installing wallpaper, matching patterns, and completing detailed finishing work
• Protecting surrounding areas using scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings
• Maintaining painting tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with safety standards
• Repairing minor surfaces, windows, and completing related finishing tasks where required
• Working collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on site
• Following all WHS requirements, site procedures, and safe work practices
• Monitoring material usage and reporting project progress to supervisor

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent recognised trade qualification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial painting and decorating
• Strong experience using brush, roller, and spray painting techniques
• Knowledge of surface preparation methods including sanding, filling, priming, and sealing
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and paint schedules
• Experience working on commercial construction or interior fit-out projects
• Ability to work safely at heights and within active construction environments
• Ability to obtain a White Card (General Construction Induction Training)
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and ability to work professionally with supervisors and clients
• Experience with specialty coatings, decorative finishes, or epoxy flooring is advantageous
• Commercial painting experience in hospitality, retail, or high-end fit-out environments is desirable
• Valid driver’s licence is advantageous
