Project Engineer

This opportunity is designed for an experienced civil engineer who wants more than a desk-based role. You’ll be trusted to coordinate construction activities, work closely with specialist contractors and help turn engineering plans into completed infrastructure across Western Australia.

The position provides exposure to complex civil, marine and recreational developments, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your project delivery experience while working within a professional and supportive construction environment.

• Taking ownership of daily construction activities and site coordination
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and specialist marine contractors
• Monitoring progress against project programs and construction schedules
• Managing project costs and supporting commercial control
• Coordinating marine construction activities including piling, fender systems and revetment works
• Managing interfaces between civil, structural, bridge and public realm works
• Coordinating drainage, landscaping and associated civil infrastructure
• Working with project stakeholders to resolve construction issues efficiently
• Preparing and maintaining ITPs, HIRACs, inspection records and project reports
• Monitoring site activities to ensure safety, quality and compliance requirements are achieved
• Identifying practical construction improvements and constructability opportunities
• Supporting junior and graduate engineers through day-to-day project delivery
• Maintaining clear communication between site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 2–4 years of relevant civil or marine construction experience
• Previous site-based construction experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate subcontractors and construction activities
• Understanding of project programming, cost control and quality processes
• Strong communication, coordination and organisational skills
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and make practical decisions
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and construction quality
• Hands-on approach to engineering and project delivery
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams
• Genuine interest in infrastructure, civil construction and complex development projects
