Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join a busy animal healthcare facility in Auckland, New Zealand. This full-time position offers 32–38 hours per week across 4–5 days, including one Saturday in every four weeks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service in a professional environment while supporting a dedicated team. You will be responsible for coordinating appointments, assisting clients, managing administrative tasks, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area.

• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organised booking system
• Coordinate boarding and accommodation bookings with the internal team
• Welcome clients and provide professional front desk customer service
• Answer telephone calls, emails, and client enquiries promptly
• Assist clients with information regarding services and products
• Support the clinical team with administrative and reception duties
• Process over-the-counter sales and customer transactions
• Maintain accurate client records and appointment information
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities when required
• Ensure the reception area remains professional, organised, and welcoming
• Work collaboratively with all team members to deliver excellent customer service

• Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role is essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Professional presentation and friendly attitude
• Good computer literacy and administrative skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a veterinary, medical, healthcare, or animal-related environment is advantageous
• Willingness to work one Saturday in every four weeks
