Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based and woman-centred midwifery care
- Provide care across antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal stages
- Monitor and assess the wellbeing of mothers and newborns
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or neonatal condition
- Support women and families through informed decision-making and their individual birth journey
- Provide education relating to pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow professional and organisational standards
- Collaborate effectively with medical, nursing, neonatal and allied health professionals
- Contribute to a respectful, supportive and patient-focused maternity environment
- Participate in clinical education, professional development and specialty practice opportunities
- Support students and graduate midwives through mentoring and clinical guidance
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Recognised qualification in Midwifery
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, evidence-based maternity care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning
- Experience in birth suite, antenatal, postnatal or special care nursery is highly regarded
- Ability to work in permanent full-time, part-time or casual employment
