• Provide warm, consistent, and responsive care tailored to each infant's individual needs
• Develop secure and trusting relationships with tamariki and their whanau
• Create an environment where infants feel safe, respected, included, and confident to explore
• Plan and deliver intentional learning experiences appropriate to infants' developmental stages
• Observe children's interests and development and use these insights to guide learning
• Complete meaningful assessments, learning documentation, and programme planning
• Maintain clear communication with whanau regarding children's wellbeing, routines, and progress
• Recognise and respect the identities, languages, cultures, and individual backgrounds of tamariki
• Incorporate culturally responsive practices into everyday teaching
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Work collaboratively with teaching colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture
• Participate in centre routines, meetings, and operational responsibilities
• Reflect on teaching practice and actively seek opportunities to strengthen professional knowledge
• Contribute ideas that support continuous improvement in curriculum and teaching quality
• Maintain professional standards and uphold a high level of care, safety, and wellbeing

• Recognised Early Childhood Education qualification
• Full and current New Zealand Teacher Practising Certificate
• Professional experience working with infants or in an early childhood education setting
• Demonstrated understanding of infant development, learning, and responsive care
• Genuine commitment to children's wellbeing, learning, and development
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to establish respectful relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues
• Confident approach to planning, assessment, and professional documentation
• Ability to demonstrate culturally responsive teaching practices
• Commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Reflective, adaptable, organised, and professional approach to teaching
• Ability to contribute positively to team and centre operations
