Key Responsibilities
- Perform RF and transmission (Tx) integration, commissioning, testing, and carrier acceptance across telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Install, configure, and commission antennas, remote radio units, feeders, microwave equipment, transmission hardware, outdoor cabinets, and associated telecommunications systems.
- Support telecommunications tower upgrades, structural installations, equipment replacements, and infrastructure enhancement projects alongside qualified rigging personnel.
- Complete commissioning records, testing documentation, and carrier acceptance reports in accordance with Australian telecommunications industry standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical faults during installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures on every project.
- Travel to metropolitan and regional project sites across Australia as required.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer with strong knowledge of RF integration, transmission systems, commissioning, and network acceptance.
- Experience working on wireless telecommunications infrastructure projects, including greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification.
- Current Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and First Aid certifications.
- Experience with telecommunications tower structures and structural steel installations or upgrades.
- Ability to travel throughout Australia, including regional and remote project locations.
- Current driver's licence with additional heavy vehicle licences or industry certifications considered advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Australian workplace safety practices and quality standards.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
