The Opportunity
Take your electrical career underground with a well-established mining operation in Western Australia. This opportunity is suited to qualified electricians who enjoy technically demanding work, modern machinery and a hands-on maintenance environment.
You will work across underground operations supporting the availability and reliability of electrical systems and mining equipment. With modern equipment and ongoing investment in technology, this role provides an opportunity to develop your technical capability while building a secure long-term career.
Permanent full-time positions are available on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster with 12-hour shifts. Residential opportunities in Kalgoorlie and FIFO from Perth are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain and repair underground electrical equipment
- Perform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnose electrical and control system faults
- Assist with commissioning and installation of electrical equipment
- Maintain underground electrical infrastructure and associated systems
- Ensure electrical equipment remains safe, compliant and operational
- Complete electrical testing and inspections
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime
- Work with maintenance teams to identify and resolve recurring faults
- Apply electrical isolation and safe work procedures
- Keep maintenance documentation and records up to date
- Support the safe and efficient operation of modern underground mining equipment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
- Current A Grade WA Electrical Licence
- Minimum 3 years' industry experience
- Mining experience desirable
- Underground mining experience highly regarded
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- HV Switching ticket desirable
- Working at Heights certification desirable
- High Risk Work Licence desirable
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Commitment to safety and electrical compliance
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
