Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader to join a well-established and growing New Zealand business within the food distribution industry. This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, managing warehouse operations, and driving continuous improvement across logistics and inventory functions.

You will oversee daily warehouse activities, coordinate dispatch operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and lead a small warehouse team while ensuring high standards of health and safety, operational efficiency, and customer service. Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas applicants.

• Lead day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations
• Supervise and support warehouse staff to achieve operational targets
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock control, and regular stocktakes
• Ensure products are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately
• Maintain warehouse organisation and efficient storage systems
• Work closely with freight providers and delivery partners
• Promote and maintain workplace health and safety standards
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency
• Provide coaching, training, and performance support to team members
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout warehouse operations
• Assist with reporting and inventory management using warehouse systems

• Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations
• Previous experience leading or supervising a warehouse team
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control
• Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on approach with strong leadership and accountability
• Current driver's licence
• Forklift operating experience
• Accredited Person (AP) qualification or experience is advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience within the food importing or food distribution industry is desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
