Warehouse Storeperson

A full-time opportunity is available with an established construction and building supplies business in New South Wales for a dependable and experienced Warehouse Operator.

This position is suited to someone who takes pride in getting things right — keeping stock organised, preparing orders accurately, operating equipment safely and making sure materials reach customers and construction sites when they are needed.

Rather than working as part of a large rotating labour force, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the warehouse operation and become a trusted part of the business. The role offers a practical mix of warehouse operations, forklift work, stock control, customer interaction and local deliveries.

• Operate forklifts safely for receiving, storing and moving materials
• Receive and unload incoming stock and deliveries
• Pick, check and pack customer orders accurately
• Prepare palletised orders for customer collection and delivery
• Load materials safely onto trucks and other vehicles
• Label, organise and store products correctly
• Shrink-wrap and secure palletised goods for transport
• Deliver and collect construction materials from local work sites
• Maintain accurate movement records for warehouse equipment
• Assist with stock monitoring and end-of-month stocktakes
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and safe
• Communicate professionally with customers, drivers and site personnel
• Take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse
• Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure materials are handled correctly

• Demonstrated experience working in a warehouse environment
• Current Australian LF forklift licence or recognised eligibility to obtain the required licence
• Strong practical forklift operating experience
• Ability to safely handle and move materials weighing up to 25kg
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable and responsible approach to warehouse operations
• Experience in construction, building supplies or a similar industry is advantageous
• Current HR licence is highly regarded
• Small truck driving experience is an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, drivers and colleagues
• Willingness to undertake both warehouse and delivery responsibilities
• Demonstrable and verifiable employment history relevant to the position
• Ability to meet Australian employment and visa eligibility requirements
