Take the next step in your warehouse and logistics career with a leadership opportunity in New Zealand. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to help drive the performance of a busy distribution operation serving customers across the North Island.
This role is suited to someone who combines practical warehouse experience with strong leadership, organisation, and customer-service skills. You will be trusted to coordinate people, products, orders, deliveries, inventory, and day-to-day warehouse activities while maintaining high standards of safety and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets
- Coordinate receiving, storage, stock movements, picking, dispatch, deliveries, and customer collections
- Manage incoming international shipments and internal stock transfers
- Process customer orders accurately and ensure orders are fulfilled on time
- Coordinate delivery schedules and collection requirements for customers
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock systems remain up to date
- Conduct and coordinate regular stock checks and cycle counts
- Ensure products are stored safely and efficiently according to established procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional warehouse environment
- Monitor warehouse productivity, service levels, and operational performance
- Support staffing requirements and coordinate additional temporary labour when necessary
- Assist with vehicle, machinery, and equipment servicing and certification requirements
- Maintain company property, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition
- Promote strong health and safety practices across warehouse operations
- Ensure required facility and operational compliance standards are maintained
- Coordinate the efficient processing of incoming containers and shipments
- Monitor stock rotation and safe handling procedures
- Maintain accurate operational paperwork, timesheets, reports, and compliance records
- Support DIFOT and customer-service performance
- Identify opportunities to reduce inefficiencies and improve warehouse processes
- Implement practical improvements that enhance productivity and customer experience
- Work closely with management and other operational teams to support business objectives
- Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or a related operational environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of stock control and warehouse processes
- Experience coordinating customer orders, deliveries, dispatch, and collections
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer-service abilities
- Ability to work in a hands-on operational environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience using inventory, warehouse management, or stock-control systems
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
- Proactive approach to identifying operational improvements
- Reliable work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
