The Opportunity
A leading engineering and manufacturing operation in New South Wales is looking for experienced First-Class Welder/Fabricators who can demonstrate strong practical capability, sound technical knowledge and a consistent commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications before commencing fabrication work
- Fabricate, fit and assemble engineered components accurately
- Carry out MIG, TIG and Stick welding across different positions and applications
- Select appropriate welding techniques and equipment for each fabrication task
- Measure, mark, cut and prepare materials according to project requirements
- Complete welding and fabrication work to required engineering and quality standards
- Check finished components for accuracy, alignment, dimensions and weld quality
- Identify and correct fabrication issues or welding defects when required
- Use workshop machinery, hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and meeting project deadlines
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and workshop personnel on larger projects
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship across varied fabrication assignments
- Follow established workplace safety, quality and operational procedures
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, organised and safe
- Participate in regular overtime, including weekday and Saturday work when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification in Welding, Boilermaking or Fabrication
- Proven experience working as a First-Class Welder/Fabricator
- Strong practical fabrication experience within an engineering or workshop environment
- Demonstrated competence in MIG, TIG and Stick welding
- Ability to weld confidently in multiple positions
- Strong ability to understand and work from engineering drawings
- Demonstrated ability to complete fabrication work with minimal supervision
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Consistent focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication and ability to work effectively within a team
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work
- Willingness to undertake regular overtime when required
- Suitable candidates must be able to provide evidence of their qualifications, skills and relevant work experience
